Zentyal, developer of the Linux small business server, and the international Linux Professional Institute (LPI) announced today that they have reached an agreement that encourages Spanish training centers affiliated to the LPI program to include Zentyal to their training offer. This agreement was made public today, in the second edition of the Libre Software World Conference, held in Zaragoza (Spain) from 9 to 10 November.
“Zentyal server offers an easier way to manage a Linux server than the traditional solutions and it has a great acceptance among vocational training students” said Ignacio Correas, CEO, Zentyal. “For us this is an important step to introduce complementary Linux training in Spanish training centers and to gain more visibility.”
With this agreement, the 45 Spanish training centers affiliated to the LPI program may subscribe to the Zentyal Academy Program for free during one year. The period during which the training centers can benefit from this promotion will begin on November 15, 2011 and end on March 15, 2012. Since the subscription, the center will be able to participate in the Zentyal Academy program for free. Afterwards, the center can decide to continue the subscription with the usual annual fee.
Santi Alcaide, Director of Business Development at Proyecto Universidad Empresa (PUE), also attended the act. PUE currently includes in their service portfolio both LPI and Zentyal training programs, and has played an important role in achieving this agreement between the companies.
