The Zentyal Development Team announced today the release of Zentyal 2.0, the Linux small business server formerly known as eBox Platform. Zentyal aims at providing SMBs easy and affordable network management and reducing their network infrastructure costs by more than 50%.

The Development Team of Zentyal, the Linux small business server previously known as eBox Platform, announced today the availability of Zentyal 2.0. Zentyal 2.0 is a new major release of this server software and it is based on Ubuntu 10.4 LTS distribution. This version includes mayor improvements in the usability, performance and stability of the software. It also integrates new features such as the bridge mode, FTP server and Zarafa groupware application.
El Equipo de Desarrollo de Zentyal, el servidor Linux para pymes anteriormente conocido como eBox Platform, ha anunciado hoy la disponibilidad de Zentyal 2.0. Zentyal 2.0 es una nueva versión estable de este software de servidor y está basada en la distribución Ubuntu 10.4 LTS. Entre otras mejoras destacan una mayor usabilidad, rendimiento y robustez del software, así como la integración de nuevas funcionalidades como el modo “bridge”, servidor FTP y la aplicación de groupware Zarafa.

The Linux small business server eBox Platform will change its name to Zentyal in order to reflect more accurately the product and the services based on it. The change will become effective from the 1st of September, with the launch of the new 2.0 version of the server software.eBox Platform cambiará su nombre por Zentyal con el objetivo de reflejar con mayor precisión las características del producto y los servicios basados en él. El cambio será efectivo a partir del 1 de septiembre, con el lanzamiento de la nueva versión 2.0 del software de servidor.
