Zentyal enters Mexico to offer easy-to-use IT solutions for SMBs

Zentyal, developer of easy IT solutions for small business, has presented in Mexico the most important aspects of the company’s business strategy for 2013. The company plans a strong international expansion in Europe and Latin America and consolidation of an authorized partner network that markets and supports Zentyal-based solutions.

“According to the Ministry of Economy, during the past ten years the Mexican IT industry has grown at an average annual rate of 11.2%, even higher than the national GDP growth. This shows there is an enormous potential for any IT company interested in expanding in Mexico”, said José Ramón Padrón, Channel Sales Director for Iberia and LatAm at Zentyal.

Zentyal’s offering is aimed at an extremely horizontal market, namely that of small and medium businesses, independently of their activity or location, and provided always through a trusted IT provider. “As reported by the Agenda Digital Nacional, the Mexican ICT market presents the greatest opportunities for products and services that are more simple, modular and accessible, and that reduce both the complexity and costs of SMB network infrastructure. This is a perfect definition of what Zentyal offers”, highlighted José Ramón Padrón.

Today, 21% of all the Zentyal downloads and free accounts come from Latin America. Mexico and Brazil account for half of these numbers, a significant percentage, taking into account that the Spain-based company has not yet established offices abroad or carried out international promotion and sales plans.

Zentyal counts on three partners in Mexico: Sinc, Open Factor and Universidad Tecnológica de Torreón (training partner) and it aims at extending the partner network to the major regions of the country. Currently the company is in partnership negotiations with eight IT support and service providers that could join the partner network in the following months.
