Zentyal, developer of the Linux SMB server of the same name, announced today a partnership agreement with Proyecto Universidad Empresa (PUE) to extend certified Zentyal training to all of Spain. PUE is a company specialized in the management of training programs promoted by the leading technology manufacturers and with presence in all the Autonomous Communities of the Spanish territory.
“PUE has more than a decade of experience in integrating certified training of technology manufacturers – such as Sun, Cisco, Microsoft or Linux Professional Institute – to the Spanish educational sector and we are glad to seal a long collaboration with this agreement” said Ignacio Correas, Zentyal CEO. “The certified Zentyal training responds to a genuine demand of the SMBs to find professionals who can manage network infrastructures in an easy and affordable way, based on Linux. This agreement allows training centers to expand their educational offering to easily respond to this demand.”
“Zentyal Academy is a training program designed to allow academic institutions to train and certify their students in the Linux small business server management through technology that is both innovative and easy to use and implement” said Orlando Dominguez, PUE CEO. “It is the academic solution that our training centers have claimed so many times in order to provide official training in Linux server management with a tool similar to Small Business Server.” Mr. Dominguez concluded “We’re convinced that the Zentyal Academy will have an excellent reception in the Spanish ICT training centers and it complements perfectly the Linux Professional Institute AAP training program, in which we have placed Spain as the country with the most accredited centers in the world.”
Under the agreement, PUE becomes Zentyal Regional Training Academy for Spain and it will be the entity in charge of managing and supporting public and private training centers to introduce certified Zentyal training in their training programs. Certified Zentyal training aims to enable system administrators with knowledge and tools necessary to manage SMB computer networks with Linux based technologies.
