eBox Technologies, developer of eBox Platform – the Linux Small Business Server, announced today the general availability of eBox Control Center subscription services. eBox Control Center is a solution that enables centralized management and monitoring of multiple eBox servers and is mainly aimed at Authorized eBox Partners and other IT service providers with a number of eBox deployments.
eBox Control Center features include remote, centralized and secure administration of groups of eBox servers, automatic remote configuration backup, network monitoring and generation of customized reports regarding the use of different network services. Starting immediately, customers can request a 15-day trial at no charge, allowing them to experience how to manage easily all the different network services and to reduce network management costs with no need to make a costly investment in technology. The free trial includes on-line support for eBox Control Center related issues.
The eBox Control Center subscription is the first of a series of on-line services eBox Technologies will launch in the first quarter of 2010. Other on-line services that will be offered shortly will include off-site data backup storage and low-cost VoIP calls via postpaid accounts and prepaid coupons. Additionally, in the first half of 2010, the company will launch the Virtual CIO service, that consists of reports on network activity together with security audits, evaluations on the status of the network, warnings of potential problems and recommendations of improvements.
“We aim at providing small and medium sized businesses with affordable, efficient and above all, easy-to-use network management services that allow them to deploy and maintain a secure and reliable network infrastructure, either with the assistance of local providers or with their own resources” said Ignacio Correas, CEO of eBox Technologies. “For the first time, SMBs are given an opportunity to manage an enterprise-level network with a minimum investment and with a wide range of different services that adapt to every context.”
Update (22/04/2010)
As we will shortly introduce new subscription services that integrate the services currently included in the eBox Control Center subscription, we proceed to withdraw the Free trial and the eBox Control Center subscription service from the eBox Online Store. Those customers who have already purchased eBox Control Center subscriptions will be granted service until the end of their subscription and then they can move to the new subscription services. Thank you for your interest and feedback and stay tuned for the new subscription services!
