On-site Zentyal/Samba4 training at LinuxHotel in Essen, Germany (Sept. 2013)

Zentyal is glad to announce that an official 2-day on-site training will be held at LinuxHotel (Essen, Germany) on the 12 and the 13 of September. This course, entitled ‘Deploying and customizing an Active Directory/Samba4 SMB network with Zentyal’, is aimed at IT professionals that are looking for feasible Linux alternatives to Windows server, as well as technical staff of potential Zentyal Partners. The classes will be delivered by certified Zentyal staff in English.

The training will start with the deployment of a Zentyal server in an virtual environment and configuration of basic infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, NTP and Firewall. Once the initial configuration has been carried out, the course will focus on the Zentyal’s Samba 4 integration, with an introduction to basic AD concepts and initial deployment of network and domain with Zentyal.

The second part of the training will fully focus on different AD/Samba scenarios: How GPOs and SSO authentication can be used for other services such as HTTP Proxy, how to integrate Zentyal as an additional controller of an existing AD, what are the best deployment practices and what tests should be carried out after deployments.

The cost of this training is 1,178€ | US $1,579 and it includes two full days of on-site training (8 hours/day). The students are given the necessary hardware equipment. Moreover, attendees who register before June 30 will get an offical Zentyal manual for free.
