December 10, 2014, Zaragoza (Spain) – Zentyal, the leader in open source Microsoft Protocol Interoperability, today opened registration and released a preview of activities and contents taking place at the first-ever Protocols Plugfest Europe 2015, May 12-14, 2015 at Etopia, Center for Art and Technology, Zaragoza, Spain. Microsoft is a Gold Sponsor for the event.

Protocols Plugfest is a three day event for developers, technical decision makers and students from the open source and interoperability industries. The focus is on connecting, collaborating, innovating and improving implementation and deployment practices in order to build an even stronger ecosystem in the Microsoft open protocols space.

Protocols Plugfest sessions will cover innovative interoperability topics, including Directory services and Exchange, Sharepoint, Protocol Analysis techniques, SMB storage, Office365/Cloud and Business Intelligence/Analytics/Big Data, amongst others. With more sessions to be revealed in the lead-up to the conference, the event will also include three keynotes from industry leaders.

Protocols Plugfest attendees will be presented with real implementation projects, open source community projects, Microsoft interoperable products and technologies demonstrations, third-party interoperability solutions and best practices on protocols implementation. The conference offers a ‘Bring Your Own Device’ Interoperability Lab in addition to keynotes and conference sessions.

February 1st is the deadline registration date to attend Protocols Plugfest Europe 2015 at the lowest available rate with a 25% discount off the price. This rate includes all keynotes and sessions, meals and social activities. Special rates for students are available at different categories up to a limited number of tickets.

“There’s no other event in Europe where developers and technical experts from the full Microsoft protocol interoperability landscape can gather together to learn, share and exchange ideas at such scale,” said Julien Kerihuel, CTO at Zentyal. “Protocols Plugfest provides developers the opportunity to learn more about protocols, interoperability, open source projects, products from the industry and test their implementations”.

The event incorporates social activities to complement technical content. Highlights include the Icebreaker Event, an excellent opportunity to meet other attendees, and the Zentyal Tapas Tour, a great opportunity to experience the Spanish gastronomy culture, visiting several bars where enjoy the miniature cuisine of Zaragoza.
