Zentyal Server 6.1 Development Now Available

Zentyal Development Team today announced the availability of Zentyal Server Development Edition 6.1, a new minor release of the Zentyal Linux Server. This community release is based on the latest Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS and it comes with the most recent versions of all the integrated software including latest stable SOGo version and a number of bugfixes.

Zentyal Linux Server offers an easy-to-use Linux alternative to Windows Server®. Thanks to its Samba integration, Zentyal Server makes it possible to join Windows® clients to the domain and manage them easily. All the network services required in corporate environments – from domain & directory server, mail server, gateway and infrastructure server are managed via GUI, making Linux server management easier for all and specially for new Linux users.

Important enhancements to Zentyal Server Development Edition 6.1 include:

  • Based on Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS
  • Integration of SOGo 4.1
  • Pagination of users (domain & directory) – With a large number of users it was difficult to manage the “Users and Computers” section and the GUI load increased significantly. We have now added pagination of users to avoid these issues. Search option is also available.
  • Shared roster bug (ejabbered) – You can now see the groups and users in ejabbered.
  • Dynamic DNS bug – Dynamic DNS updates work now.
  • OpenVPN upgrade bug – OpenSSL update broke OpenVPN. This has been fixed now.
